We are happy to announce the Official Launch of ‘Europa Nostra Heritage Hub in Nicosia on 27 – 28 February 2025.

This new Heritage Hub in Nicosia intends to promote cooperation between cultural NGOs of the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East through Cultural Heritage, with the objective of achieving peace, collaboration and mutual understanding among the peoples of this volatile region.

Join as on our 1st Public Forum on February 28, 2025, at 9.30, at the John Ioannides Auditorium, Fresnel Building, The Cyprus Institute, Constantinou Kavafi Str., No 20, Nicosia. The opening session will feature addresses by representatives of other Europa Nostra Regional Hubs as well as representatives of NGOs from the Middle East.

The theme of the Forum will be “Citizens’ Engagement in preserving Cultural Heritage”. Three Europa Nostra award-winning organizations, the La Paranza Cooperative ( from Naples) (recipient of a  European Heritage Awards/Europa Nostra Awards in  2022), the ACTA VISTA (from Marseille) (winner of the Grand Prix at the European Heritage Awards 2023), and the Technical Committee for the Cultural Heritage of Cyprus (receiver of the Grand Prix at the European Heritage Awards 2021), will present their work under the title “The Power of Example: Experiences from Award-Winning European Projects”.

Finally, a round table discussion on the above theme will take place among important heritage experts: HRH Princess Dana Firas of Jordan, Dr Yiannis Toumazis, Director of the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation, and last but not least our Europa Nostra SG Sneska Quaedvlieg Michailovic.

Moderator will be Sebastien Da Courtois, member of the Council of Europa Nostra.

Join our event to be inspired and motivated by the distinguished speakers as they share their work and insights related to the protection, preservation, and projection of our diverse cultural heritage both Natural and Human, Tangible and Intangible.
