On November 20, 2024, The Cyprus Institute was recertified as “Employer of Gender Equality. This recertification follows an initial recognition in 2015 and the first renewal in May 2021.

 

The rigorous assessment process, conducted by the Ministry, included a thorough review of the Institute’s HR practices, employment conditions, policies, and procedures. Additionally, questionnaires were completed by 90% of staff across all levels and categories, ensuring an inclusive evaluation.

 

This certification is part of the "Cyprus Certification Model," which promotes best practices in fostering gender equality in the workplace. It highlights the Institute’s ongoing commitment to equality and fairness—values that are integral to our mission and align with the European Commission’s requirements for research institutions.

 

This achievement was celebrated at an official ceremony on the 5^th of December 2024, where the Minister of Labour congratulated all certified organizations and presented awards to their representatives.

 

CyI strives to maintain the highest standards for labour relations and the recertification is a testament to the continuous dedication and contributions of CyI staff into making The Cyprus Institute a workplace that champions equality and inclusivity.
