CyI’s Support for Educational Project “Actions Against Climate Change” Highlighted in TV Show

CyI, a leading institution on research on climate change, has contributed to the educational project “Action Against Climate Change”, co-ordinated by Cyprus Pedagogical Institute (Environmental and Sustainable Development Education Unit) and the Delegation of the European Commission in Cyprus.

The project aimed to present the phenomenon of climate change though cartoons and animation made by secondary school children. The children who participated raised their voices through the presentation of unique environmental projects on climate crisis, sounding the alarm and giving the message that new generations are involved and that change is coming.

In particular, CyI supported the project via scientific and research contributions by CyI’s Associate Professor Panos Hadjinicolaou, who was part of the implementation team of the project. In addition, Dr. Jonilda Kushta and Dr. George Zittis, were members of the award ceremony team for the best cartoon and animation presentation of the Event which took place back in June 2019.
