Panayiotis Papadopoulos got a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Cyprus in 2020. He graduated with a thesis titled “Distributed Monitoring and Control for Smart Buildings: A Model-Based Fault Diagnosis and Accommodation Framework”, developed within the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence.
His research topics and areas of interest are:
Panayiotis works on the COLLECTiEF project, which stands for “Collective Intelligence for Energy Flexibility”, and its purpose is to upgrade the smartness of existing buildings and create a collaborative network of a large number of facilities providing grid flexibility while ensuring a reduction of energy consumption and comfortable conditions for the end-users.
