Third LinkSCEEM Thematic Workshop for Climate Research
The Computation-based Science and Technology Research Center (CaSToRC) of The Cyprus Institute in collaboration with the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC), Germany and the Max-Planck Institute for Chemistry (MPIC), Germany organised the Third LinkSCEEM Thematic Workshop for Climate Research, as a thematic workshop under the LinkSCEEM project amongst others.
The LinkSCEEM2 project aims to develop a High Performance Computing (HPC) eco‐system in the Eastern Mediterranean region by interlinking and coordinating regional compute, data and visualisation resources to form an integrated e-platform. The main project objective is to enable scientific research in the region by engaging and supporting research communities with an initial emphasis in the fields of climate research, digital cultural heritage and synchrotron radiation applications.
The workshop was attended by young researchers from the region and addressed topics related to different types of Atmospheric boundary layers (convective, stable nocturnal, cloudy) all followed by demonstrations and practical hands on sessions.
