Reshmi Raj Kochuveedu Raju received her Bachelor’s degree (3years) in Physics from the University of Kerala, India, in 2022, followed by a Master’s degree (2 years) in Physics from the same institution. Graduate studies provided her with a strong foundation in both theoretical concepts and experimental techniques.
Reshmi’s Master’s thesis focused on the study of chemical composition of atmospheric aerosols using mass spectrometry was carried out at the Space Physics Laboratory, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (ISRO). Through this research, she gained hands-on experience in aerosol characterization and data analysis and developed a deeper understanding of the diverse nature of atmospheric aerosols and their role in climate processes. The study also highlighted the influence of mesoscale atmospheric circulations on aerosol chemical composition, strengthening my interest in atmospheric dynamics and chemistry interactions.
Her research interests broadly include atmospheric chemistry, aerosol formation and transformation, cloud processing mechanisms, air quality analysis, source apportionment studies, and associated climate perturbations. She is particularly motivated to pursue research that integrates observational data with physical and chemical processes to better understand aerosol–climate interactions.
