Stylianos holds an MSc degree in Physics from Purdue University, Indiana, USA, an MSc in "Quantum Fields and Fundamental Forces" from Imperial College London, UK, and a Bachelor's degree ("Ptychion") in Physics from National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. He participated in research programs at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland, at RWTH Aachen University, Aachen, Germany and at DESY, Hamburg, Germany, working on projects in the areas of High Energy and Particle Physics. He has also extensive teaching experience, teaching undergraduate students in and out of academia for many years.
He is currently enrolled as a PhD student in the Computational Sciences program aiming to get involved in research in the area of Lattice QCD and Quantum Field Theory simulations.
Research Interests:
Particle Physics, QCD Phenomenology, Proton Structure, Renormalization of non-Abeliean Gauge Theories, and also other areas in Physics such as Critical Phenomena and Quantum Information Theory.
