Ferenc Pittler graduated 2009 at the Unversity of Pecs (Hungary) as IT Physicist. He continued his studies at the University of Pecs, where he received his PhD in Particle Physics in 2013. He was working at the Lattice Gauge Theory group at Eotvos Lorand University from 2013 to 2016 as a Postdoc research fellow. From 2016 he was working at the University of Bonn as a Postdoc research fellow.
He joined the Cyprus Institute at 2019 as a Postdoc research fellow. His research is concentrated on Lattice Quantum Chromodynamics, and in particular investigating nucleon-nucleon scattering processes.
He is also involved in Beyond Standard Model studies, meson form factor calculations and studying the strongly interacting matter under extreme conditions: large external magnetic field and finite temperature. His publications can be found on spires.
