Abstract
Figure 1: (a) Turbulent structures in channel flow over acoustic liners at friction Reynolds number Reτ ≈ 2000 and bulk Mach number Mb = 0.3. (b) Instantaneous streamwise velocity (wall-parallel plane) and temperature (cross-stream planes) in turbulent channel flow over cubical roughness at Mb = 4 and Reτ ≈ 1000.
About the Speaker
Davide Modesti is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology. He received his PhD in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from La Sapienza Università di Roma in 2017, where he carried out direct numerical simulations (DNS) of compressible wall-bounded flows at high Reynolds number.
