CyI and Cyprus Police Expand Their Collaboration Featured
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on January 31, 2025, between CyI and the Cyprus Police for further developing their cooperation.
The memorandum was signed at the Police Headquarters in Nicosia, by Mr. Themistos Arnaoutis, Chief of Police, and the President of The Cyprus Institute, Prof. Stavros Malas.
The MoU outlines the continuation and further expansion of existing cooperation in areas of common interest between the two organizations, including the development and use of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).
The memorandum also defines the four areas of cooperation between CyI and Cyprus Police, which concern:

cooperation for the co-organization of joint scientific and educational events and activities.

cooperation in conducting studies related to actions of the Cyprus Police, in areas of common interest,
-
the provision of expertise and training by CyI to the Cyprus Police and
-
the exchange of information, data and know-how on issues of common interest.
