Marcus Larbie

Marcus Larbie

Marcus has joined the Cyprus Institute’s Graduate School to pursue the cutting-edge MSc in Digital Cultural Heritage.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in integrated Rural Art and Industry from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and has been an established art teacher with the Ghana Education Service for more than a decade.

His previous studies, combined with his work experience, have shaped his research focus on digitizing museums in Africa.

At The Cyprus Institute, Marcus will employ a mixed-methods research approach to support his findings in museum digitization and heritage conservation. This will help him bridge the gap of complexities of cultural heritage in the digital era, harnessing both the secular and economic sustainability of African art and culture, and its influence on Ghana's development in terms of Gross Domestic Product.
